It’s fair to say there would be no WAAM Education Program without the dedication, care and creativity of the art teachers we collaborate with. Art teachers are practicing artists who translate their expertise, curiosity and critical eye to educating and inspiring the students they work with. While we mainly exhibit work by area youth, we are thrilled to share with our community works by some of the wonderful teachers we have the pleasure of working with.

Art for Education at WAAM
Education Director Beth Humphrey works with over 500 students annually across 9 area schools, collaborating with teachers to create innovative and relevant arts-in-education programming. WAAM provides free in-school residencies, annual field trips and fun, hands-on activities. The artwork that students make during these WAAM programs can viewed throughout the year in the Youth Exhibition Space (YES) Gallery.
