“The natural world has always looked awesomely beautiful and pulsing with mystery to me, even in its most mundane, frightening or gruesome details. In recent years, I have also become fascinated by the sense of time passing, with every part of this world impermanent, whether grass, trees, rocks or whole ecosystems. Photography has been a passion throughout my adult life, as I try to capture these perceptions with a camera. I am also a clinical psychologist, teacher of Jewish meditation, and writer; my first book was a National Book Award finalist. I have lived in Woodstock since 1999.” – Gail Albert
