March 9 – 31, 2019

Reception: Saturday, March 16, 4-6 PM

Onteora High School Drawing and Painting and Digital Art respond to the collection.

In celebration of the WAAM Centennial, we invited Onteora High School art teachers to use WAAM’s Permanent Collection as inspiration for their students’ work. Students from both classes used work in a variety of materials as lens to examine the breadth of our collection.

Art for Education at WAAM

Education Curator Beth Humphrey works with over 500 students annually across 9 area schools, collaborating with teachers to create innovative and relevant arts-in-education programming. WAAM provides free in-school residencies, annual field trips and fun, hands-on activities. The artwork that students make during these WAAM programs can viewed throughout the year in the Youth Exhibition Space ( YES) Gallery.
