The Woodstock Artists Association & Museum is proud to support the artists of the mid-Hudson region. In addition to the exhibition opportunities presented at the WAAM, we are happy to share these notices of additional opportunities for artists. The Pence Gallery announces a new exhibit that celebrates the vibrancy of the watercolor medium in contemporary art. Juried by Sandy Delehanty, “Water + Color National Juried Exhibition 2020” is open to all artists residing in the U.S. who are working in watercolor and gouache on paper or Yupo. No other surfaces are accepted, and no acrylic, pastels, collage, digital images, or any form of print or reproductions are allowed. APPLY HERE

The Museum of Modern art offers a $35

The Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union,  85 Mill Hill Road will allow any artist  that maintains or opens an account ($100 minimum +$5 membership) to have a solo exhibition of their work on the bank’s walls for one month.  Requests for shows are granted in the order they are received and should be made to Georgene Fredericks, Branch Manager.

The Audubon Artist Residency provides selected artists and writers with the opportunity to spend two weeks living and working in the Todd Wildlife Sanctuary on Hog Island, home to the acclaimed Hog Island Audubon Camp. Residents stay at the historic Bingham Cottages site, from which they can easily explore the entire 330-acre island.  Details

The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art invites artists working in all media to submit proposals for its annual exhibition of contemporary art made by artists in the Hudson Valley.

“New Folk: Hudson Valley Artists 2020,” the 14th annual Hudson Valley Artists exhibition, will be curated by Anna Conlan, curator and exhibitions manager at the Dorsky Museum.

The deadline for artist submissions is Sunday, March 22, 2020, at midnight. The museum welcomes artwork in any medium and encourages submissions that challenge traditional hierarchies of craft and fine art.
