John F. Kennedy Elementary 4th Grade mixed media prints

Kingston’s John F. Kennedy 4th graders made mixed media prints inspired by the ecosystem of the Hudson River. Students studied works from the WAAM’s Permanent Collection and the great variety of Hudson River fish to make their work.

Art for Education at WAAM

Education Curator Beth Humphrey works with over 500 students annually across 9 area schools, collaborating with teachers to create innovative and relevant arts-in-education programming. WAAM provides free in-school residencies, annual field trips and fun, hands-on activities. The artwork that students make during these WAAM programs can viewed throughout the year in the Youth Exhibition Space ( YES) Gallery.
