Private Tour for Four of Magazzino Italian Art. Magazzino Italian Art is a museum located in Cold Spring, New York, devoted to Postwar and Contemporary Italian art. Magazzino serves as a resource for scholars and students and offers an extensive library and archive of Italian Art. In addition, Magazzino has become a cultural hub for the vibrant Hudson Valley community thanks to the joint programs with local organizations. Under the guidance of Director Vittorio Calabrese, his team and its curatorial programs, Magazzino Italian Art bridges collaborations with American and Italian institutions not only to support contemporary Italian artists but also to foster discussions on Postwar and Contemporary Italian Art in the United States.

Four Tickets to Dia: Beacon. Housed in in a former Nabisco box printing factory, Dia:Beacon presents Dia’s collection of art from the 1960s to the present as well as special exhibitions and public programs. In keeping with Dia’s history of single-artist, site-related presentations, each gallery was designed specifically for the presentation of one artist’s work. Examples include Dan Flavin’s series of fluorescent light “monuments to V. Tatlin”; Joseph Beuys’ mixed-media installations such as Fond III/3 (1979) and Fond IV/4 (1979); Richard Serra’sTorqued Ellipses (2007); and Michael Heizer’s North, East, South, West (1967/2002).

Our own resident organist, Juan Cardona Jr. will be accompanying this hilarious Mel Brooks classic on our own Mighty Wurlitzer. If you have been asking for more organ, you must come watch and listen as Juan follows along the film with a score written by John Morris and arranged by David Peckham. A mix of original pieces and cultural nods, the music will have you laughing along with Mel Brooks, Dom DeLuise, Marty Feldman, Bernadette Peters and Sid Caesar with cameos by Anne Bancroft, Liza Minnelli, Burt Reynolds, James Caan, Paul Newman and the one and only Marcel Marceau who delivers the one and only line in the film.
