WAAM CAMP 2023
Woodstock Artists Association & Museum Summer camp, or WAAM CAMP, is a half day, week-long arts experience with a collaborative teaching team. Led by WAAM’s Education Director, Tara Foley, young artists will work alongside invited guest artists and artist educators, all the while making work within the context of WAAM’s exciting exhibitions.
WAAM CAMP offers two consecutive weeks of camp, each tailored to a different age group. WAAM CAMP participants will explore the Museum’s galleries during special “gallery time” by engaging in dialogue and deep looking, move their bodies through mindful activities and games in WAAM’s backyard space, and discovering new ways of making art, all while building friendships along the way. Each day the campers will make art and directly put it on display in the YES space (Youth Exhibition Gallery). The last day of camp will culminate with a display of artworks in the YES space for parents and guardians to enjoy!
