My paintings are mysterious narratives, stories hidden and obvious at once, shadowy, strange and sometimes ambiguous. The works often include language and explore the internal landscapes of the imagination as well as the American scene. My art has been influenced by a career in American storytelling as a playwright, screenwriter, novelist, and director.
