Event Details

Woodstock Artists Association commemorates 100 years as a non-profit art and cultural center, with two special birthday celebrations.

Celebrating art, history, community, and creativity Art for Education at WAAM invites all ages to come celebrate community & have fun painting our 7 foot high birthday cake sculpture in front of the building on Saturday, June 22nd from 12 noon to 6pm. Decorating the three-tiered wood sculpture is one of two special events WAAM is sponsoring for their grand 100th. Stop by and make your mark! Fun for all ages with adult supervision.

The wood sculpture waiting to be decorated and painted is designed by Stephen Robin, a furniture designer and cabinet maker. Steve was a former WAA board member who has generously donated his time and artistry to WAAM for the centennial celebration.

The materials for the enormous cake have been donated by Chris Neher of Woodstock Building Supply. The Neher family has been present in the community for over seventy years. Although Andre Neher is still president, his son Chris now runs the business.
