Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright

EXHIBITION: January 20–February 26
OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, January 21, 4-6pm

YES GALLERY

For this exhibition, WAAM partnered with the Woodstock Elementary School’s third grade class and art teacher Roberta Ziemba. The students made psychedelic silhouette portraits inspired by Milton Glaser’s famous poster for Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits album with Columbia Records in 1967. Glaser’s poster was instrumental in raising his profile as a graphic designer and is now featured in WAAM’s Permanent Collection. Taking design cues from a self-portrait by French-American artist Marcel Duchamp, the poster depicts Dylan’s profile in black and white silhouette with rainbow-colored, swirling lines representing the singer’s curly locks.
