Flower Paintings from the Permanent Collection highlights the rich traditions of American still life painting. This exhibition brings together twenty-three works from WAAM’s permanent collection of by celebrated 20th-century artists associated with the Woodstock Art Colony including Florence Ballin Cramer, Eugene Speicher, Eugenie McEvoy, Alexander Brook, Hobson Pittman, Paul Rohland, Nicholas Buhalis, Manuel Komroff, Georgina Klitgaard, Charles Rosen, Harvey Emrich, Ruth Gikow, and Ernest Fiene. These artists represent a range of distinctive interpretations that reflect both the legacy of realism and experimentation of abstraction.
