Collage and Beyond displays the work of artists from WAAM’s ongoing partnership with Columbia County Chapter of The Arc New York, or Coarc, the largest family-based provider of services to people experiencing disabilities in the United States. Coarc provides support to more than 400 people experiencing developmental/Intellectual disabilities through their facilities and programs. Tara Foley, WAAM’s Education Director, visits the Coarc of Hudson for monthly art classes based on the works of WAAM members, as well as artists in the collection. The works created for Collage and Beyond were inspired by looking at and discussing certain works by WAAM artists: Nansi T. Lent, Ellen Jouret-Epstein and Grey Ivor Morris to name a few.
