Bennett 5th Grade Sea Stories

Students from Bennett Elementary created mixed media prints inspired by work by Nahum Tschacbasov’s Fish Eat Fish from the WAAM’s Permanent Collection. Students also studied how cultures have myths around people turning into part water dwelling animals such as Silkies and Varuman and how artists are inspired by these stories.

This program was designed in collaboration with Bennett Elementary art teacher Roberta Ziemba, who always comes up with inspiring ways to integrate works from our Permanent Collection into her curriculum.
