The Fabulous Hat Competition

Fabulous, creative hats are strongly encouraged. The best hat will receive the Hatti Award, selected by Juror Hatti Iles.

This year the event will be presented at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock and we’re very excited to be among the first events in the newly renovated theater. This year’s Beaux Arts BASH will honor long-time WAAM member and former board member Leonard Levitan. We will also be introducing a new award – the 2020 Spark Award – that will be given to Natalie Horberg, a sixteen year old artist from our Future Visions program. The event is our biggest fundraiser of the year and attracts an audience of over 200 people comprised of community stakeholders, arts professionals, artists and business leaders.

The evening will be presented as a cocktail party from 5:30-9:30 pm with hors d’oeuvres catered by Bistro-to-Go, music by Perry Beckman, dancing to the music of DJ Julie Evans, exciting raffle items, a balloon pop, and BASH Miniatures – small scale artworks donated by regional artists. It’s going to be a fun-filled evening and we hope to see you there!

Proceeds from the Beaux Arts BASH help to support all WAAM’s year-round public arts programming, exhibitions and support for area artists.

Your support makes everything we do possible, and for that we are most grateful.
