How to Donate a Bash Miniature

Artists,
Every year we find a lively way to involve artists in our annual fundraiser. One of the most popular parts of the event is the exhibition and sale of powerful small artworks. We hope you’ll consider showing WAAM some love and donating a “Miniature” (or two!) to our Beaux Arts BASH. It’s going be a fun and wild night full of good food, fancy prizes, homemade hats, balloons and, of course, you.
This year two selected artists will be awarded a free year’s membership to WAAM ($150 value). Our Guest Judge choosing the lucky two will be Pamela Salisbury, who’s opening a gallery in the revered space of the former John Davis Gallery in Hudson. We’re honored that she’s agreed to look through the generously donated work with her experienced eye! All artists are welcome to donate, near and far. You do not have to be a member of WAAM or live within 50 miles of Woodstock to participate.
- Please make donated work on either 5 x 7″ or 8 x 10″ paper. Any image size is
acceptable, as long as the outer edges of the paper measures 5 x 7” or 8 x 10”. - Watercolor, printmaking, drawing and Yupo paper are fine. It should be sturdy enough to withstand some handling while being installed: something like rice paper is too fragile and matt board is too thick. If you have a question about your choice of paper email diane@woodstockart.org.
- Any two-dimensional media accepted: including watercolor, drawing, oil, acrylic,
collage, ink, pastels, flashe, printmaking, photography, rubbings, crayon… - Work must be submitted UNFRAMED. Artwork will be hung using archival tabs attached to the corners of the work, installed by the Exhibition Committee.
- Artists may drop off their piece(s) at the front desk during WAAM’s regularly scheduled open hours up until Monday, April 6 OR deliver it during Intake Mondays, March 2 or April 6, 12-6PM. Please plan on spending a few minutes filling out paperwork.
- BASH Miniatures will be sold at the event for $50 (5 x 7″) and $100 (8 x 10″)
- BASH Artists’ ticket price will be reduced to $50, their guest’s ticket price will be $85.
Unfortunately WAAM cannot include donated work that does not meet required guidelines.
