ARTS & MAKERS FAIR AT WAAM

Fine Arts, Crafts, Food & Festivities, a Fall celebration of the Hudson Valley’s best makers and shakers.

WAAM will host the Hudson Valley Region’s best makers and shakers to participate in the first annual ARTS & MAKERS at WAAM during the height of the Fall Tourist Season.

This rain or shine event will offer 30 exhibitor spaces throughout WAAM’s galleries to the area’s finest makers. Visitors can learn about local artists, enjoy a pottery throwing demonstration, sample some nosh from local food vendors, and lounge in the Arts & Makers cafe offering fresh baked goods, coffee and local mulled hot apple cider..

Saturday, October 19, 12 – 6 PM and Sunday, October 20, 12 – 4 PM.

DEADLINE: August 25, 2019

NOTIFICATION: September 3, 2019

FEE: No application fee. If selected, Non-Refundable Exhibitor Fee of $125 (due within 15 days of notification September 3, 2019). Sales will be processed and collected by exhibitors. No commission to WAAM. 

NUMBER OF SPACES: 30 Exhibitors will be selected 

SPACE DIMENSIONS: 6’ long x 5’ deep, WAAM will provide a 6’ x 30” table and cloth, gallery track lighting and WiFi. ** Limited spaces with electrical power will be available upon request

CATEGORIES: Fine Art, Paintings, Photography, Prints, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Jewelry, Ceramics, Metal, Textile, Woodcraft and Glass ** Commercially manufactured items, agents, and dealers will not be considered

Woodstock NY plays host to thousands of visitors each fall, seeking that striking autumn foliage and the season’s last chance to peruse town and bring home that unique artist-find. Join WAAM for this Fall celebration of fine arts, crafts, food & festivities.  

APPLICATION & MATERIALS   

  • Contact information, 5 images, short artist’s statement, and link to website (if applicable)
  • Any special requirements or need for electric must be noted in your application 

Applications will be juried by a panel of regional art professionals who will be examining quality, craft, innovation, and originality. Images must represent the work you will exhibit. The jury will be looking to diversify exhibitors among the various categories.

ABOUT EXHIBITING

CHECK IN & SET UP Scheduled appointments Friday, October 18, 10AM – 6PM
Parking and loading/unloading space is limited at WAAM. Exhibitor check-in will be staggered to help manage traffic. WAAM will work with you to arrange an appointment for delivery. Please be courteous and arrive on-time, unload promptly and move your vehicle to one of the public lots. 

SALES & TAX No commission to WAAM. Exhibitors are responsible for processing sales and collecting and reporting NY State sales tax (8% in Ulster County). 

SPACES will be assigned in advance and will not be negotiated. Please keep all of your material within your allocated space and do not block egress.

HOURS Exhibitors must be present and open during all public hours (Sat, 12-6 & Sun, 12-4)

SECURITY & LIABILITY WAAM is not liable for loss, theft or damage of any kind.
