For 100 years the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum (WAAM) has presented the work of artists living and creating in the mid-Hudson region. Thousands of exhibitions have been presented in our galleries featuring the work of contemporary artists as well as historic artists, many who are represented in our landmark Permanent Collection. 1+1+1 celebrates the continuity of artmaking in the mid-Hudson region and features a three-tiered selection of artworks representing an historic Woodstock artist, a work of their descendant, and the work of a contemporary artist selected by the descendant. The exhibition celebrates WAAM’s centenary year with a look at the past, present and future of artists who have shaped the artistic sensibilities of this town for over 100 years.

This exhibition is presented in conjunction with Woodstock Collects, a collaboration among the WAAM, Byrdcliffe, CPW, the Woodstock School of Art and the Historical Society of Woodstock with each organization conceptualizing their interpretation of an exhibition that brings to light historic Woodstock artworks from private collections.
