K. L. McKenna
K.L. McKenna is a respected artist whose scenes of Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming
and Montana reflect her enthusiasm for the west, where she paints on site during the summer. Through organic and unique usage of color, light and shape, K.L. McKenna's style captures radical new perspectives on the traditional western landscape. She is recognized as one of the most exciting new artists painting the west.
K.L. McKenna, a resident of Woodstock, NY, has a B.A. from Wesleyan University, CT and a Masters degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY. She has had extensive experience working for museums and top exhibition design firms in New York, such as Ralph Appelbaum Assoc. and Albert Woods Design. She also worked throughout the states and Canada as a Graphical User Interface Designer. She studied painting first with Mary Buckley at Pratt Institute and later with Nicholas Buhalis at the Kingston School of Art, Kingston, NY.
K.L. McKenna is invited each year to participate in the Annual Buffalo Bill Cody Show and Sale, and is represented by The Granger Gallery, Cody, Wyoming, The Coffey Gallery, Kingston, NY and NextMonet.com.
