Franz Heigemeir
Painter | Sculptor
For several years I have been painting the night blooming cereus “Queen of the Night”, the flower that briefly blooms then wilts and dies in the still of the night unknown to most.
Fascinated by the night sky, by the secrets of the night, by the drama of this blossom’s life and death within the span of a few hours, I am now more than
ever compelled to explore the mystery of this phenomenon.
With my new series of paintings called “Night Visitors”, I want to share with the viewer those humble inquiries into the unknown, revelations culled
from the night, the twilight and the far away.
